8th December 2024:Feast of the Immaculate Conception
* On December 8th, 1591, the feast of the Immaculate Conception, Our Founder,
St. Camillus de Lellis, together with twenty-five of his companions from the
Congregation of the Ministers of the Sick, made their Solemn Profession of
Vows. This sacred act took place before a revered wooden statue of the Virgin
Mary, attributed to the school of Michelangelo, which today is preserved in the
St. Camillus de Lellis Museum at the Generalate House of the Order.
This momentous occasion marks the foundation of a rich spiritual tradition
within the Camillian Order. Every year, on the feast of the Immaculate
Conception, Camillian communities around the world renew their religious
vows in a special celebration, honoring both the founding moment and the
maternal protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Through this act of renewal, the
Camillians reaffirm their commitment to the service of the sick and the poor, in
the spirit of their founder's charism.
8th December 2024:Blessing of Sneha Care Home at Snehadaan Campus
* On December 8th, 2024, a special and heartwarming event will take place at the
Snehadaan campus as we inaugurate the Sneha Care Home, a dedicated home
for children with multiple disabilities.
This new facility will provide a safe,
loving, and nurturing environment for children who require specialized care,
ensuring they receive the attention, support, and compassion they deserve.
The blessing of the Sneha Care Home will be presided over by Rev. Fr. Bijoy
Kuliraniyil MI, Provincial of the Congregation of the Ministers of the Infirm,
who will invoke God's blessings on the home and its inhabitants.
Fr. Bijoy's
spiritual leadership and commitment to service will be a source of inspiration
for all involved in this meaningful project.
The Sneha Care Home aims to provide not only a physical space but also an
atmosphere of love, dignity, and care. It is a place where children with special
needs can experience a sense of belonging and comfort, surrounded by a team
of compassionate caregivers and medical staff who are dedicated to enhancing
their quality of life.
This project is part of the broader mission of theSnehadaan Campus, a beacon
of hope and support for vulnerable children and families. As we gather to bless
this new home, we celebrate the spirit of compassion and service, following the
example of St. Camillus de Lellis, whose charism of caring for the sick and
suffering continues to inspire us.
