With profound joy and gratitude, the Camillian family celebrated the priestly ordination of Fr. Sumit Kumar Barla MI on 24th April 2025, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Phalsa. The sacred liturgy, held at 6:00 AM, was solemnly conferred by His Excellency Rt. Rev. Kishore Kumar Kujur, DD, Bishop of Rourkela, in the presence of Rev. Fr. Bijoy George MI, Provincial of the St. Camillus Province, India, along with many Camillian confreres, family members, and friends.

To honor this momentous occasion, a Thanksgiving Holy Mass was celebrated on 25th April 2025 at 8:00 AM at his residence in Sagbahal, Pudgatoli. The Mass was an expression of deep gratitude to God for the grace of the priesthood and the blessings poured out upon Fr. Sumit and his family.

Fr. Sumit Kumar Barla MI extended heartfelt thanks to all those who supported him in his vocation—especially his family, formators, and the Camillian community. He acknowledged with appreciation the presence, prayers, and encouragement of everyone who joined him in celebrating this sacred milestone in his journey of service to the Church and the sick
